Permit fees follow construction value, from $80 for jobs up to $1,000, and a plan review fee of 50% of the permit fee is added when plans are reviewed.

Call 1-855-478-4290 →Fire alarm and fire suppression permits follow the same valuation table, with a fire plan review fee of 50% of the fire permit fee and a $225 fee for an underground fire line test. Owners doing their own electrical work use the Electrical Owner Builder Affidavit, and trade contractors are added to a job with the Subcontractor Authorization form.
Plans and site documents
Plans must show enough detail for the City’s plans examiners to check every code requirement, and the department publishes a Plans and Specifications Checklist; call 321-567-3760 with questions before you submit. Product approvals for windows, doors and roofing go on the City’s Product Approval Form.
New single-family homes: under the City’s finished floor elevation policy, submit a proposed site plan or survey showing the finished floor elevation and lot corner grades with the application. The City Engineer approves or revises the elevation and stamps the plot plan, which must be kept on site. A surveyor’s form board (or foundation) survey must then be approved before the City will schedule a pre-pour or slab inspection.
