Single Project
For one project or a limited permit scope that needs professional filing support.
- Residential or commercial
- One or several related permits
- Scope and correction handling defined in writing
There is no honest nationwide one-price-fits-all permit fee. Project type, jurisdiction, filing complexity, number of permits, corrections, and filing volume all affect the work. This page gives you useful industry context without pretending every permit is the same.
Two quick steps. Most visitors can finish in about a minute.
Thank you. Your project details are ready for review by the Alliance Permitting team.
Public pricing guides across the permit-expediting industry show a wide range. The important takeaway is not one exact number—it is that simple work, moderate projects, and complex commercial permitting are priced very differently.
These ranges are included to help prospective clients understand the market before requesting a project-specific quote. Alliance does not use this table as a fixed rate card.
A single trade permit with a clean package may involve far less work than a restaurant build-out, ground-up commercial project, multi-agency review, or national rollout.
| Typical project category | Published industry range | Typical Alliance planning range | What can move the fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Simple residential / straightforward permits | $500–$2,000 | $375–$1,600Typical planning range · project-specific quote | Jurisdiction, permit type, package readiness, number of filings, and whether corrections or resubmittals are needed. |
| Moderate projects | $2,000–$6,000 | $1,500–$4,800Typical planning range · scope-specific quote | Multiple departments, plan-review coordination, trade permits, revisions, agency communication, and project complexity. |
| Complex commercial projects | $5,000–$15,000+ | $3,750–$12,000+Typical planning range · written scope controls | Large or phased scopes, multiple permits, multiple agencies, difficult jurisdictions, repeated correction cycles, and extended coordination. |

Important: The published industry ranges are market examples, not Alliance rates or guarantees. The Alliance planning ranges shown above are calculated from those published market examples using the company's typical price-conscious positioning and are provided only as a budgeting reference. Actual pricing depends on permit type, jurisdiction, scope, filing count, corrections, and volume. Jurisdiction fees and outside professional costs remain separate, and the written Alliance quote controls.
We quote the filing workload your project actually creates instead of forcing every project into one published number. Each variable below links to the related Alliance resource or service.
A re-roof, electrical permit, tenant improvement, change of use, and ground-up project require different filing effort.
Portals, registrations, required forms, routing, local procedures and review structure vary by city, county and agency.
Square footage, valuation, occupancy, disciplines involved, and whether work is residential or commercial affect complexity.
Building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire, signage and other permits may be separate applications.
A clean project ready to file is different from a rejected, stalled or correction-heavy project that needs recovery and resubmittal work.
Repeat clients, multi-location programs, reporting needs, geography and cadence can change how the filing program is quoted.
A one-time filing and a nationwide recurring program are not the same service. We separate them clearly.
For one project or a limited permit scope that needs professional filing support.
For projects involving multiple filing tracks, agencies, disciplines or substantial coordination.
For builders, contractors, franchises and multi-location teams filing repeatedly.
A useful permit-services quote should tell you what is included, what is excluded, how changes are handled, and which costs are outside the permit expediter’s control.
Preparation, filing, tracking, coordination or other services should be defined clearly in the written scope.
Jurisdiction charges should be identified separately from professional permit-expediting service fees.
The quote should explain how comments, response coordination and resubmittals are handled.
Revisions, new permits, expanded agency work or other changes after kickoff should have a defined pricing process.
Engineering, architecture, surveying, testing and other licensed professional work should not be confused with permit-expediting fees.
A permit service can improve preparation and coordination, but the jurisdiction controls review, comments, inspections and issuance.
If you file repeatedly, a one-permit rate is often the wrong way to evaluate the program. The better inputs are what you file, where you file, how often you file, and how standardized the workflow can become.
Two permit-expediting quotes can look very different because they include different work. Compare scope before price.
