For development projects, the Town’s construction-document checklist can require site and civil plans, the erosion and sedimentation approval letter, an approved floodplain development permit where applicable, stormwater documentation, landscape and lighting plans, and City of Raleigh Public Utilities (CORPUD) information. The building permit submittal carries the building plans and a site plan in PDF form.

A residential site plan does not have to be professionally drawn: a copy of the recorded survey from the closing documents, an iMaps printout or the Town’s site plan form can be used.
