No Wayne County building code, zoning ordinance or county building permit is published. Two approvals can still matter: development in a mapped flood zone goes through the county floodplain administrator at 109 Walnut St., Greenville (573-429-6365), and a new or repaired septic system needs a permit from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, which handles Wayne County directly.
