Greenacres building permit cost

Under the fee schedule effective October 1, 2024 (Resolution 2024-46), a non-refundable $75 application fee is due when the application is submitted and is applied toward the permit fee. Construction-value charges are 2.5% for $0-$100,000 (minimum $75), plus 2% for $100,001-$300,000 and 1.25% for values over $300,000. Plan review fees apply to multifamily and commercial work, and work without a permit is charged four times the permit fee plus a penalty.

Inspections in Greenacres

For permits submitted on or after April 15, 2026, schedule inspections through the MGO Contractor Portal. For older permits, call 561-642-2062 or email the Building Division. Requests must be in by 3:00 p.m. on the business day before the inspection (Friday for a Monday inspection); same-day inspections are not permitted. Cancel by 8:30 a.m. on the inspection day.

Window and door installations need a buck inspection before the final, and roof installations need sheathing, tin tag and in-progress inspections before the final. If a Notice of Commencement is required, submit a certified copy before requesting an inspection.
