Filing on GovWell and what the county asks for

Applications go through GovWell (app.govwell.com/lafayetteco); hard-copy applications are still accepted at Development Services. On GovWell, a standard building permit needs a street address, an E911 address request needs a tax parcel number, licensed contractors must register and upload a copy of their current state license, and review fees are paid online before final permit approval.

The building permit application asks for the Mississippi contractor’s license number and whether wastewater is new or existing, and must come with a plat showing the proposed construction and the building plans.
