What requires a building permit in Temple Terrace?

Temple Terrace requires a permit before building, altering, repairing, moving or demolishing a building, or installing, altering or replacing regulated electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing systems.

The city lists exceptions, including stucco or siding under 501 square feet, soffit and fascia under 101 linear feet, premanufactured accessory structures of 151 square feet or less, non-structural slabs under 100 square feet, and roof repairs under 100 square feet. Non-structural work under $7,500 that involves no electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing work may also be exempt, but the Building Official must approve the HB 803 exemption request before work starts.
