Not sure this scope needs a permit?
Get a free quote →For example, a new home valued at $300,000 has a building permit fee of $1,700 and a plan review fee of $850, before trade permits, surcharges and impact fees. The city’s January 2026 single-family impact fee sheet still shows the older rate of $30 plus $3.50 per $1,000, so confirm the figure with the Building Division before you budget.
Re-inspections cost $40 for the first, $60 for the second, $80 for the third and $120 for each one after that. Starting work before the permit is issued adds a penalty of 100% of the permit fee. Application and plan review fees are not refunded once plans have been reviewed, except for hardship at the director’s or Building Official’s discretion.

- The Product Approval Specification Form and the Florida energy calculation package
- A proposed plot survey, signed and sealed, with NAVD 88 elevations, drainage arrows, setbacks, finished floor elevation, lot and impervious coverage and trees to remain or be removed
