Portal filing and application setup
Applicants register for a SagesGov account to apply. Architects, builders, engineers and contractors register a company account with an account administrator, who then adds other company users. People who submit projects for a company should not register separate accounts.
The City says most review agencies respond to the initial review in 10 days to 2 weeks. Projects that need more than three reviews may face added fees or staff meetings.
Permit fees in Stockbridge
After reviews are complete, City staff invoice any final fees for permitting, arborist, fire or stormwater reviews. Fees can be paid online in the permitting portal.
Contractor and subcontractor credentials
Stockbridge requires the general contractor affidavit to be completed and notarized. Before permit issuance, applicable subcontractor affidavits and credentials must also be provided.

When reviews are done, City staff request final supplemental documents, such as a contractor’s licence or affidavits, before approval. Approved plans are digitally stamped and permits are uploaded to the portal.
Residential certificates of occupancy are issued only after sanitation and stormwater impact fees are paid. Commercial certificates of completion require the business to apply for an Occupational Tax Certificate first.
How to apply: 6-step Stockbridge process
