Permit costs and fees in Monroe

Monroe’s Code Department fee schedule (revised January 14, 2025) bases building permit fees on valuation, worked out from the square footage and the ICC Building Valuation Data table. The fee starts at $25 for the first $3,000 of valuation and rises in steps per additional $1,000.

When plans are required, the plan review fee is half the building permit fee and is paid when the plans are submitted. Impact fees are listed in a separate City document.
