Main Street, (479) 675-3811.

  • Subiaco (403), Ratcliff (163), Caulksville (159), Blue Mountain (83) and Morrison Bluff (83): the published sources do not show a town building permit; ask the town clerk before building.

Flood zones, roads and septic

Flood damage prevention: Ordinance 2026-02 adopts by reference the Flood Damage Prevention Code for Logan County, Arkansas and Incorporated Areas, dated June 2, 2011, and applies it to all special flood hazard areas in the county’s jurisdiction. Those areas come from the flood insurance study and rate maps of June 2, 2011, and the ordinance allows FEMA’s Base Level Engineering data to be used to set base flood elevations in Zone A and Zone AE. Constructing, locating, substantially altering or changing the use of any structure or land there must comply; a copy of the code is on file with the County Clerk, the Floodplain Administrator enforces it, and violations can be fined up to $500 a day.

Flood insurance: FEMA lists Logan County, Booneville, Magazine, Paris and Subiaco in the National Flood Insurance Program, and Blue Mountain, Caulksville, Morrison Bluff, Ratcliff and Scranton among communities not in it.

Septic systems: on-site wastewater systems are permitted by the Arkansas Department of Health, which has county health units in Paris and Booneville.
