Okemah building permits
Okemah uses one application for building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits, residential or commercial. It covers new construction, additions, remodels, repairs and replacements, demolition, relocation and foundation-only work. The form asks for the property owner, the contractor’s business and the state licence numbers of each trade on the job, and it is approved by the City’s code enforcement or building official. The City also issues mobile home placement permits, and moving a building needs a separate permit under the City Code.
